Documentation
Everything you need to run ManageSM.
Setup, feature walkthroughs, per-network guides, and troubleshooting. The inline help in the app links here as well.
Docs are actively growing. The index below reflects every topic covered in the app today. Detailed pages for each item are rolling out over the next weeks — the summary here is written to answer the common questions on its own. Missing something? Tell us what you looked for.
Get started
- Create your workspace
- Sign up, pick a workspace name, and set your first brand.
- Connect your first account
- OAuth per network. Takes about 40 seconds each.
- Schedule your first post
- Draft in the post editor, pick a time, publish or send for approval.
- Invite your team
- Add editors, reviewers, and viewers with per-brand permissions.
Planning & scheduling
- The calendar
- Week, month, and list views. Filter by brand, campaign, or status. Drag and drop to reschedule.
- Post categories
- Organise recurring content types (Product tips, Customer spotlights, Behind-the-scenes) with their own posting cadence.
- The scheduled queue
- Set best times per network once. Drop posts in categories and the queue picks slots.
- Blackout windows
- Times when nothing publishes automatically (holidays, incidents, embargo periods).
- Import from CSV
- Bring an existing calendar in one step. Template CSV in the app.
Creating posts
- The post editor
- Write once, adjust per network, preview before publishing.
- Per-network variants
- Different copy per network from one base post — Instagram gets emoji, LinkedIn gets long-form, X gets the short version.
- AI drafting
- Claude drafts in your saved brand voice. You always review before publishing.
- Attachments and media
- Auto-cropped per network. Alt text required.
- Tracking links
- Auto-generated UTM parameters so every click is attributed.
Approvals
- Approval routing
- Set who reviews what — per brand, per network, per author, or combinations.
- Client review links
- Send clients a link — they approve on a phone with no login. Comments come back as diffs.
- Activity history
- Every approval, every comment, every rejection is recorded permanently.
Engagement
- Live feeds
- Real-time columns per account, keyword, or competitor. Refreshes continuously.
- Comments & DMs inbox
- Every reply, mention, and message from every connected account in one place.
- Mention tracking
- See who's talking about you and get alerts when volume spikes.
- Saved replies
- Standard answers your team can send with one click.
Analytics
- Post performance
- Clicks, impressions, engagement, and (with Google Analytics connected) sessions and conversions.
- Best-time-to-post
- Learned from your own audience response, per account, per day of week.
- Client reports
- Scheduled PDF reports with your logo. Each client sees only their own brand.
Team & workspace
- Roles and permissions
- Owner, admin, editor, reviewer, viewer — per brand, not just per workspace.
- Multi-brand workspaces
- One workspace can hold up to 100 brands (plan-dependent).
- Brand voice and rules
- Set the voice, banned words, and approval requirements per brand.
Media library
- Upload and organise
- Tag by brand, campaign, or type. Search by any of those.
- Rights tracking
- Attach a licence and expiry date to every asset. Warnings before expiry.
- Usage counts
- See where each asset has been used and on which network.
Per-network setup
- X (Twitter)
- OAuth 2.0 PKCE. Works today for personal and pro accounts.
- In progress — personal profiles without app review; Company Pages need MDP approval.
- Meta (Facebook + Instagram)
- Awaiting Meta app review. IG requires an approved Business account.
- TikTok
- Awaiting Content Posting API access.
- YouTube
- Awaiting Data API sensitive-scope review.
- Others
- Threads, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Reddit, Bluesky are on the roadmap.
Troubleshooting
- "Not authorised" on publish
- The OAuth token likely expired — reconnect the account from Settings → Accounts.
- Post shows as 'Failed'
- Click the post to see the network's error message. Retries are automatic; if all retries fail we notify the owner and approver.
- Duplicate detection blocked my post
- We check a 90-day window. If it's an intentional re-post, override in the composer.
- Client can't see the approval link
- Confirm the link isn't blocked by their email provider (SPF/DKIM). Resend from the post detail page.
